Enhance that special gathering with the Inked Monkey Movie Theater!  You tell your friends and neighbors to bring their lawn chairs and the bug repellant and we'll bring our portable 20'w x 10'h screen, digital projection and sound system and set it up in your backyard, parking lot, gymnasium, or anywhere else you'd like us to set up.  All you need to provide is enough space (at least 25' x 40'), a tall enough ceiling (at least 18'), and a DVD of the film(s) you want to watch.  (Or bring the video game system and games you want to play on the big screen!)

Rental of the Inked Monkey Movie Theater comes complete with setup, sound system (in a choice of Stereo or Dolby Digital Surround Sound), digital projection, and a projectionist/operator. As of now, we are available Friday through Sunday. 

The price for a single feature presentation starts at just $400 for standard stereo sound and $500 for Digital Surround Sound.  Please contact us for available dates and times, or for additional information.  

Please note the following:

• A 25% deposit will be required to book the Inked Monkey Movie Theater.  Bookings canceled less than 10 days before the event date will not be subject to a refund of the deposit.
• A travel charge of $150 will be accessed for locations more than 1 hour and 15 minutes outside the Memphis, TN City Limits.
• Yes, we can do "Dive-Ins" as long as there is sufficient space for the projection stand to be at least 10' away from the pool. 
• Double and Triple Features are possible for an extra fee of $100 per extra feature.
• Setup will begin approximately 1 1/2 hours before dusk.  Movies will begin at dusk, unless otherwise agreed upon.
• Display rights of movies shown are the responsibility of the customer.  Usually this is not an issue for small, private events where admission is not charged. As a rule, if you publicly advertise the event, you should obtain the display rights for the movie.  It is the responsibility of the customer to provide DVD copies of the movie(s) they intend to show.
• Chairs are not provided with the Inked Monkey Movie Theater setup. Part of the fun of the event is having people bring their lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets.
• As with a real movie theater, the Inked Monkey Movie Theater requires low light.  Direct light from street lights will detract from the projection quality. It is the responsibility of the customer to determine if their location is suitably dark before we set up. No refunds will be given for setup in unsuitable locations.
• It is the responsibility of the customer to clear any outdoor events with their local neighborhood association, neighbors, or police department before the event.  The Inked Monkey Theater operates at the same volume as a real movie theater.  If an event is shut down by any outside party, such as neighbors, law enforcement officials, etc., no refunds- neither partial nor complete- will be issued. The customer bears full responsibility for ensuring that their event complies with all local laws and ordinances.  Inked Monkey will cease operation of the Movie Theater upon the first warning by law enforcement.  
• For outdoor events, the weather will be a factor.  The Inked Monkey Movie Theater cannot operate in rain or winds exceeding 15 mph.  We reserve the right to cancel if we feel that conditions are not favorable.  If we cancel, then we will refund your deposit in full.  If we are forced to shut down the operation of the theater after it has been set up due to rain or wind, we will not issue a refund.  
• For gaming nights, the standard fee will allow for 2 hours and 15 minutes of gaming time.  Time will be calculated from the time the projector is turned on.  The customer must supply the gaming system and the games. 

Let's Dance!

 For small dance parties under 50 people, Inked Monkey offers a DJ setup that can't be beat!  Our simple 14-light setup is great for more intimate gatherings, and is much more affordable than a huge DJ setup.  Plus, because you supply the music, you save money.  All you need is an iPod with a playlist of music, and we take care of the rest. 

The complete Inked Monkey DJ Lite setup consists of:

• 2 Light Stands
• 12 Par 64 Stage Lights
• 2 Par 36 Spotlights
• 2 mirror balls
• 2 DMX Control boxes
• 1 Velleman DMX USB Controller
• 600- or 1200-Watt Sound System
• DMX Cables 
• Laptop Computer with iTunes software, Freestyler light control software, and Velleman drivers

Use of the complete setup requires an Inked Monkey DJ to be on hand to run the equipment. The price for this service is only $100 an hour, and includes setup and the DJ.  There is a minimum charge of three hours, and a 25% deposit is required at booking.  DJ Service is available only in the Memphis, TN Metropolitan area at the $100-an-hour price.  For bookings outside the Memphis area, please feel free to contact us for a flat-fee quote. 

If you have the sound system (such as your home stereo) and a computer that runs Windows Vista 32-bit or lower, you can install the light controller software and iTunes and rent the lighting equipment for only $250 a night plus a $250 cash refundable rental deposit. Rental includes delivery, set up, and pick up. Rental is only available within the Memphis, TN Metropolitan area only.  Pickup will be scheduled the following day after the rental. An additional fee of $100 will be charged for same-day and after-hours pickups.

Note:  The software required to run the lights will not work on 64-bit operating systems or Macintosh computers.  We have asked the software developers to address this problem, but they have yet to offer a solution.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
